If you've been on the Internet for any length of time you've probably seen many a work from home company. You've probably also seen your share of high income claims as well as websites promising massive returns on initial investments without any work involved. Business consulting companies are in the lookout for this kind of scam.
With all of these claims flying about, it can be very difficult to find a reputable work from home company. However there are several things that a reputable company will never promise. Here are just five:
1. "Start your own business with no money." This, as anyone should know is a blatant lie. any business, no matter how small, requires some initial investment. Whether this is a domain name, hosting, web development software, equipment, or staff, a reputable work from home company will never promise this.
2. "No skills or knowledge required."Any work from home company that promises that you'll be able to start up with them and not know anything or have any skills with regard to the Internet is one you should steer clear of. True, you may not have to know how to design and host a website, however you will need to have at least a basic knowledge of how to discover the particular market that your company is targeting and how to differentiate yourself from others selling the same thing online.
3. "Be in profit within 24 hours." Once you've got your website set up and have all the information that you need to make a solid start, you will still have to design and marketing plan around your budget and implemented. There is no quick solution or easy fast profits, any decent business consulting company will tell you that. And any work from home company that promises that you can make money within 24 hours should be one to avoid. Results take time to appear, and there is also testing to be done to ensure that you are headed down the right path with your marketing efforts.
4. "You don't have to do any work, just collect the money." there always seems to be a work from home company that promises the above. And while it may seem as though, in the case of the more famous marketers, that they don't have to do much work in order to make six figures the reality is that just starting up there will be a lot of work to do in order to get your name and product out there and into the hands of the right people.
5. "Anyone can do this." Any reputable work from home company will not make this claim. For the simple reason that Internet marketing, affiliate marketing and network marketing are not things that simply anyone can do. To get started in any of these three industries requires patience, a willingness to learn and implement what you might not at first understand, the discipline to keep going even when things seem tough or you don't want to and the understanding that instant profits is not the reality.
