Hi Daniel,

I was searching for reviews on Market Samurai and your site was on first page. Recently, I just bought a training course to promote Amazon products and Market Samurai tool was mentioned by the author but as an option. From your description above, I can now understand why and what the author is trying to teach us newbies on SEO traffic.

Thanks & Happy New Year 2012

I've read a lot in these post where one is saying MNF is Better than MS and vice-verse. This is the exact reason I have both. For the small amount of money these tools cost compared to a failed campaign there is no comparison. Get them both, compare your set of words in both. Believe me, when I have a set of keywords where MNF and MS are both telling me go for it, I go for it!

As far as the debate MNF or MS, here's my 2 cents; I have both of them, because I will analyze a set of keywords with one tool and use the other just to double check. A person puts a lot of work into a campaign and when you consider the cost of these two tools it is a small price to pay considering the cost of time and money put into a bad campaign. Get both and sleep better.

I prefer MNF over Market Samurai. I think MNF is relatively easy to learn and get started. If you are an advanced user, Market Samurai is a good tool for you!

Does anyone know if this tool is still working with all the recent Google API changes?

I want to buy it, but not if it isn't working.

Best,

Yes Daniel great article, but we need a fresh comparison on MNF and MS. There have been changes in the software and with Google recently. Thanks for the great work!

This thread is very interesting, but it began quite some time ago. Is MNF moving with google's recent changes? Are you still of the opinion MNF is the best IM research tool available? I think MS is awesome, but I've had problems with the data lately.

I like the simplicity of MNF but found Google blocking me even with courtesy settings on max. Never had this problem with masrket samurai.

Any advice?

Hi Daniel,

I found this post as a result of a Google search for "MicroNicheFinder", so if you were listed that high, you're obviously doing something right! ;-)

I have been an MS user for many years, and have not tried out MNF yet. Frankly, I've been concerned that having both might be an overkill. After reading your review, I'm pretty much convinced that having both is probably a good idea. However, there is an additional reason for this that I didn't notice in your post or in any of the comments.

While MS really is great for detail-oriented SEO people like me, I often find the tools itself unreliable. In some cases, the software may be experiencing bugs (either because of their own problems, or as a result of changes Google is making), and in other cases, it may work, but the reported results may be inaccurate. There are a lot of possible reasons for this, but the fact remains that it's not 100% reliable all the time. Also, recently for some unknown reason that no one can explain, it has become MUCH slower than it used to be in producing the results. Not sure if MNF is also that slow, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

Hope this helps anyone reading this!

Regards,
