I'm new to starting Internet business, please help!

Buy a domain with your main keyword in the domain name. I don't know why but this has always helped me get rankings faster. The first time I bought a domain with my main keyword in the name was when my first successes started happening. After that one thing led to another and I suddenly had 20 domains all making sales. This is mu number one tip to anyone starting Internet business

Make a plan and stick to it. The Internet can be very distracting at the best of times. How many countless hours I have wasted playing flash games or watching youtube when I could have been working on my online business. Make a plan for each day you plan to work, set your goals and what you want to achieve that day on the plan and stick to it.

Don't promote what everyone else is. Your first sale in Internet marketing is always the best one and its going to take you a lot longer to get if your going up against the pros. Start with a relatively small product that not so many people are promoting. This will higher your chances of making a sale and will increase your determination to make more.

When creating back links for your website a steady effort is a lot better than throwing out a large amount of links in one day and then none for the next few days. When I was just starting Internet business I made this mistake and Google quickly mistook me as a spammer. In the end I just dumped the site as getting out of Google's sandbox can be a hard task.

Stick with one method until it works or you have exhausted it. This is a problem that many newbies are guilty of when starting Internet business. The huge amount of methods available on the Internet make it very tempting to try the latest method just as you discover it. Doing this is fundamentally bad. By doing this you are never going to master a system and you will never maximize your profits from one income source. Wait until you are really at your end with a method before discarding it, if not wait until you have sucked it of every last cent.

Finally, avoid burnout. Burnout happens to a lot of Internet marketers that get started too fast. They try to jump into the deep end and then just get fed up when they aren't making any profits or success. Take your time in Internet marketing and test the waters so to speak before you go gun ho.
