Once you're comfortable with your programs, and your typing accuracy and speed are at a level with which you're happy, what's next? As a work at home typist you now have essentially three choices: you can go to any of the big freelance sites and bid on various projects, or you can join up with a professional work at home site, in which case you will be assigned a manager who will act as a go-between with you and your client and will help you find projects that are suited to your skill set.
